Candidates who successfully complete the programme will obtain a foundation degree in supporting learning and teaching leading to a Bachelors Degree in Education.

Description of the Course
- This course has been designed to provide a flexible programme that will meet the needs of all those individuals who yearn to be an international school teacher. It seeks to enhance current working practices with due regard to broad social and educational concerns within the professional context.
Qualification
- Students who successfully complete the programme will be awarded the Foundation Degree (FDA) in Supporting Learning and Teaching by Roehampton University, London, UK

Study Skills, Learning and Teaching, Professional Issues, Literacy, Numeracy, A specialist study - Second Year
SEN and Inclusion, Working with Others, Policies and Frameworks, Research Methods, Research Project

- Work based projects, presentations, reports and essays
Entry requirements
- Applicants must provide evidence which demonstrates that they can benefit from study at higher education level and are likely to achieve the required standard. Applicants will normally need to have :- completed STPM/’A’ level and have achieved a distinction in English/Literacy and/or Mathematics/Numeracy, at SPM or equivalent .We welcome applications from students who do not meet the normal academic entry requirements, on the basis of evidence of personal, professional and educational experience which indicate an applicant’s ability to meet the demands of a Foundation degree.
What can I do after this course?
- On successful completion of the programme students will have an opportunity of progressing to an honours degree. In addition you will be able to work as a teacher in an international school and /or private school.
Other information
- Offer of places is by invitation only.
Upon successful completion of 2 years programme students can continue to complete their Honours Degree.
Students will be attached with Fairview International School, KL as teacher trainees during the duration and will be given a monthly allowance.
Full and partial scholarship holders will be required to serve Fairview schools for two years upon completion of course
